My work explores the confluence of biomorphic and geometric abstraction as seen through a portal or window of time. Temporality adds dimension, motion and most importantly to me, relevance. Color, gesture and light realize my artwork, where imagination slides through planes of space and time. Art, both visual and poetic, is the mapping of my mind and life journey. Each meditation captures both a moment and an entirety.
In my world, biomorphism and geometry coexist, are complimentary and symbiotic. Together, they transcend borders, heal wounds, share hope and allow unlimited growth. Markings and shapes are both representational and abstract simultaneously. They mind map slices of imagination, places to begin, end and continue journeys beyond a mere three dimensions. They are about a moment in time that is both fleeting and eternal. You might share that moment or not, or realize that it’s next door to one of yours.
